iTunes Connect: New Financial Reports and Price Tiers
2012-03-27
Dear User,
iTunes Connect now supports reporting and payments in Swedish Kronor (SEK) and Danish Kroner (DKK) for sales in Sweden and Denmark, respectively. Soon, the Earnings tab in the Payments and Financial Reports module on iTunes Connect will include individual reports for Sweden and Denmark.

For March, app sales earnings in Sweden and Denmark will be split and reported in two different documents, one covering the time period before the change and one covering the time period after the change. Earnings from sales that occurred before the change will be in the Euro-Zone (EUR) financial report. Earnings from after the change will be in the new financial reports for Sweden (SEK) and Denmark (DKK).

Additionally, two new price tiers for apps and In-App Purchases are now available:

New Price Tiers
Tier 63 (Customer Price: US $124.99 Your Proceeds US $87.50 )
Tier 69 (Customer Price: US $174.99 Your Proceeds US $122.50)

To view the new price tiers in other currencies, see the pricing matrix on iTunes Connect.

The App Store team

iTunes Connect: App Store News and Announcements
2012-02-07
Dear User,

We would like to make you aware of the following:

Required iPhone & iPod touch Screenshot Upgrade for Retina Display

When you create or update your apps in iTunes Connect, you must upload screenshots that are high-resolution. We require your screenshots as high-resolution images so that your app is optimized for the Retina display.

The requirements for high-resolution images are 960 x 640, 960 x 600, 640 x 960, or 640 x 920 pixels. Images must be at least 72 dpi, in the RGB color space, and the file must be .jpeg, .jpg, .tif, .tiff, or .png. You can update your screenshot files at any time in iTunes Connect.

New Notification for Binaries Exceeding Cellular Network Download Size Limit

Admin and Technical users will now be notified if your resulting binary size for the App Store exceeds the cellular network download size limit of 20MB. Exceeding the limit requires your app to be downloaded over Wi-Fi. This information can help you determine if you want to resubmit your binary in order to reduce the size of your app.

iTunes Connect: Editing the default language for your app
2012-01-18
Dear User,

You can now edit the default language of your app’s metadata on iTunes Connect at the app level and it can be changed at any time. Customers are more likely to read about your app if they can do it in their native language, and we encourage you to translate your metadata for each of the countries in which you offer apps.

To edit the default language for an app, go to the Manage Your Applications module, then click Edit for your App Information. Any previously added localizations will be available for selection in the Default Language dropdown. If you wish to add a new localization to your app, you can do so from the App Localization section of your app's version details page. Adding a new localization will require a binary update so that Apple can review it.

If you need assistance translating your metadata into additional languages, there are third party vendors who can provide internationalization and localization services for your app.

The App Store team

iTunes Connect: Holiday Shutdown
2011-12-16
Dear User,

iTunes Connect will be temporarily shut down from Thursday, December 22 to Thursday, December 29 for the winter holidays.

During this shutdown, the following functionality will be unavailable:

Access to iTunes Connect
The delivery of any apps or updates

Additionally, the following will be delayed:

Releases scheduled to appear on the App Store for the first time
Pricing changes scheduled through the interval pricing system in iTunes Connect

We strongly recommend that you do not schedule pricing changes through the interval pricing system in iTunes Connect that would take effect from December 22 through December 29. Pricing changes scheduled to take effect during this date range will not be reflected in the App Store and the app will become unavailable for purchase.

We also recommend that you do not schedule any apps to go live during the shutdown. Releases scheduled with a sales start date between these dates will not go live until after the shutdown.

The App Store team
iTunes Connect: App Store News and Announcements
2011-09-12
Dear User,

We wanted to make you aware of these helpful tips for using iTunes Connect and managing your apps on the App Store:

iTunes Connect Video Tutorial

You can now watch a video tutorial to learn more about setting up an app in iTunes Connect. Visit the Manage Your Applications module to watch the video.

Recommended iPhone & iPod touch Screenshot Upgrade for Retina Display

When you create your apps in iTunes Connect, you can upload screenshots that are either standard-resolution or high-resolution. We recommend uploading your screenshots using high-resolution images so that your app will be optimized for the Retina display. You can update your screenshot files at any time in iTunes Connect.

Replacing Your Binary in Pending Developer Release Status

If you choose to release your approved app to the App Store yourself (instead of having it automatically released upon approval) and if the app’s status is Pending Developer Release, you are still able to submit a new binary, but you must first remove the version of your binary that is in the queue for review. To do that, view the app’s binary details in the Manage Your Applications module, and use the Reject Binary option.

Make Sure You Fill Out Your Marketing Contact Information

If iTunes chooses your app to be featured on the App Store, we may need to contact you and ask for additional artwork. For this reason, it's important that you have the proper marketing contact on file for your developer account. You can keep this information up-to-date in the Contact Info section of each contract found in your Contracts, Tax and Banking module of iTunes Connect.
